Producing stunning, sought after photographic images for over 25 years across fashion, portraiture and music (album sleeves and with artists) Christopher Bissell has that rare commodity found in the very best and most talented amongst us, a truly natural ability. This talent combined with his kit of choice, the medium format Pentax 645D, produces truly outstanding photographs.
Born in England, Christopher grew up on the East and West Coast of North America. Arriving in London in the 80’s, he shot Vogue Ads for Zandra Rhodes and was given a freehand to explore creative movement lighting techniques to produce Zandra’s images.
Through this work, Christopher caught the eye of the major record companies which lead to him becoming in demand and shooting a raft of album sleeves across all the major labels.
In the 90’s, Christopher’s photographic assignments became global as he divided his time between Hong Kong and London; he shot for the world’s top Ad. agencies included imagery for Toyota.
Christopher has worked with an impressive list of clients by any standard. His vast experience has seen him photograph some of the world’s top names, to include: Yasmin Le Bon, Lisa B, Richard E Grant, Lisa Snowdon, James Cosmo, and Zandra Rhodes. He has also been photographer and judge for 3 seasons of Britain’s Next Top Model.
His infectious enthusiasm for his work is contagious and he is adept at putting people fully at ease in front of his lens.
