Jenny Fay studied at the Heatherley School of Fine Art, completing the Diploma for Portraiture in 2014 and winning the Portrait Diploma Prize.
“In recent years I have undertaken portrait commissions for St John’s College, Oxford; The Caledonian Club, London and other private collections both in the UK and overseas.
Alongside my portrait commissions I have recently created a body of work inspired by the paintings of the Danish painter Vilhelm Hammershoi. These paintings of interiors were based on sketches and studies created on location at St John’s College. Using a limited palette of titanium white, yellow ochre, Indian red and Ivory black. My aim has been to create a sense of stillness and timelessness in these paintings.” Jenny Fay
