Visions of boats and sand. Engaging with past traditions. Painting. Throwing, spilling and pushing into the landscape. Walking, sitting, cold colours, fuzzy head of warmth and sunrays. Drawn in by melancholia and the slow falling light to the patterns of shifting sand in my inner view. What is there to say about the weather, gently shifting out and sea? Sun to eye, this - a working holiday spent beach combing environment, watching. I’d rather be in it. Fluid paint washed off by the tide, waves lap over. Numb in the winter or delirious in the clagging warmth. Beach. Road. A way forward. Tide breakers in line. Walk down the steps, forward, past the orange and green signs.
