Martha Hugo-Mill studied Theatre Painting at the Hochschule fur Bildende Kunste in Dresden. It is the only course of study in the world with this orientation. One of the best known graduates is the painter and graphic artist Gerhard Richter. Martha Hugo-Mill also studied fashion & design in Berlin. Later working as graphic designer for a renowned agency.
And 10 years of working freelance as a Scenic Theatre Painter, working within the Theatre and Film industry, Art Galleries, Museums and private commissions.
In this recent series Martha states 'I was fascinated by traditional costume and head dress - worldwide.
